Mother

Mother

A Poem by KeenanSass

Mother!
I cried
Mother don't leave!
I need you Mother!

As swiftly as she came she left
We said our goodbyes and off she left
Off into the blue
The big blue, where nothing is left

Mother!
I cried
Mother don't leave!
I'll miss you Mother!

My solid rock
My solace
My shield
Left

Mother!
I wept
Mother I still need you!
I still need my Mother!

Adventure is out there my son
Time to stand on your own feet
Time to outshine the stars
Time to be

Mother!
I sobbed
I don't know the way Mother!
I still need you Mother!

Her warming smile and crimson hair
Bidding farewell as she left
Time to be my son
Time to grow

Mother!
I cried
Mother I miss you!
I still need you Mother!
