How You Treat Your Lady

How You Treat Your Lady

A Poem by Kelly Danielle Hall
"

Payback on an old dick.

"
Just because I'm lying.
Doesn't mean that I don't care.
I'm just simply slurring sentences.
I'm just someone to beware.

Ever thought I'd do this to us?
Ever think that I'd come clean?
You think I'm proud of what I'm doing?
You think I want to be this mean?

This addiction took me over.
Popularity told me to.
Drugs made religion vanish.
Why I'm like this I have no clue.

I know I ruined us.
But yet I'll be okay.
I just like to watch you crying.
Love to mold you like my clay.

Baby I'm not messed up.
You just don't see my reasoning.
I know that I'm an a*****e.
But yet I love to hear you screaming.

You're most welcome
Interesting perspective. For me, this poem suggests how ego could affect on a person's life, and how that can affect others, such as a loving partner. Maybe I'm wrong. But, anyway, good job
