Monochrome Rainbows

Monochrome Rainbows

A Poem by RainbowEmerald
"

Three years and 2 months ago, I got myself out of an abusive relationship. The effect he had on me still exists. However, I'm still here. I still roam. Nothing can knock me down.

"
I hate your face
I wish I could erase
All the memories you gave me
Nightmares and whiskey
My life is now a mess that nobody knows
Because you took my rainbows
And you turned them into monochrome
But the mess you created still roams

The residue of a bad relationship can hang around for many years. Sometimes that's good. It keeps us from the same people. I like your idea of a monochrome rainbow. It's very clever.
