John

John

A Poem by RainbowEmerald

Why do you haunt me before you become a ghost
All I ever hear is your voice
Screaming that I'm stupid, worthless, can't do anything right
Your face in mine spewing death threats
Don't tell or you're dead
You're not dead
But you still haunt me every day
Because of the damage you forced upon my soul
And I'll never sleep the same
With my exhausted brain thinking you'll show up at my house
Well I chose life over you
And you have dragged me down to a pretty low place
But you can never drag me as low as you
Because even though you're not dead
Neither am I
