Lovely, Gruesome, and All of the Above

Lovely, Gruesome, and All of the Above

A Poem by lovelylittlelies

Iridescent fairies whispered to her
They sprinkled glitter over her turning her into something new
But she grew tired of the sparkling lifestyle
Shattered glass became her best friend
Red wine spilled from her veins smelling sweet and aged
The fairies dances around her bleeding body
Their tears rained down around her
Nothing could save her
Her body became translucent
And the fairies faded

I like your imagery, but your word choice doesn't really bring out the feeling of the poem. When you write poetry you must find the perfect word because you have a lot less to work with.
