Litany of Stone

Litany of Stone

A Poem by kenny

Though I may chip and weather,
I will forever remain.
Though your heart will one day lay still,
I will continue to stand.
Though I cannot change,
I do not need to.

For I am stone.

I carry the weight of the world,
for no one else can bear that burden.
I break the sky,
For I see through its beauty.
I am ancient, and I shall see far beyond your lifetime.
For I am the mountain, the rock, the very earth itself.

For I am stone.
