Conviction

Conviction

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

Scratch a lover, find a foe
Don't look for comfort in a w***e
Kill the bad, preserve the good
I find no basis, for why I should

Live in dreams, on earth you die
Reality is from which to hide
Prepare the future, forgive the past
It's on the bucket list, but last

Help a stranger, embrace a friend
No satisfaction, no inevitable end
Do your duty, die for another
Existence's more simple, when for to do the other

Dance and sing, laugh and merry
Love in spring, cuddle in January
Run and hide, forget and sleep
Live and lie, remember and weep

This world is such, no worse, a living crime
No rest, no laws, no hope, no time
