Prose and Poerty

Prose and Poerty

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

Words of no meaning
Have no cause
Words of no feeling
Appeals to no applause
Words of no strength
Has no faith nor fate
Words of no love
Garners deferential hate

Words of indifference
Sink deep to the bones
Resting on minds,
Of the idle and alone
Nonchalantly they pass,
Through ears and time
Per chance a cynic,
At home they find

And words of no truth
Are slender to heed
But said enough so,
Anger and hate they breed
And those words of false
Outspoken from learnt minds
Those shall rest at the feast
As hade's glutted swines

L'envoi
Words carry memories
Words reminds us of deceit
Words tells us tales
Some bitter some sweet
