Dear Me

Dear Me

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

Dear Me,
Hope your doing fine?
It's been a while, since we conversed heart to mind

Dear Me,
I'm glad you ask
No one in this world can see behind this funny mask

Dear Me,
I can tell its rough
The blood's been flowing lately, way too much

Dear Me,
Sorry for the strain
It's been hard lately to beat in pain

Dear Me,
It's quite alright
Remember every shining day goes through the darkest night

Dear Me,
Yes, I know it's true
But don't you remember how many times she said "I love you"

Dear Me,
It's all stored in my cell
And every now then, they open the gates to hell

Dear Me,
Sorry I forget sometimes
A broken heart is often followed by a broken mind

Dear Me,
No need for your apologies
Hear my voice of reason, not the cries and screams

Dear Me,
How long would it take?
For I am at the point of breaking into selfish hate

Dear Me,
Let's not go that far
Time will take its time to heal these wounds and scars

Just take my hand and hear me
Don't leave me calling out in vain
We will see this through together
And we'll start this life again

Dear Me,
Thank you
Sincerely your heart beating with the blues
