The Teeth of Loneliness

The Teeth of Loneliness

A Poem by Kerosene

Tonight,
I stand before many,
swallowed by a ravine,
painted in shadow.

Prickly hairs tickle my legs,
they carpet my body,
and keep me warm.

Sometimes they bite.

Seldom they smile.

Always turbulent.

A million beady eyes,
staring at my heart,
hanging from a noose,
from the corner of my room.

I’m once again alone,
and the only sound,
is the ricochet of my shouts,
echoing off walls,
serenading spiders.

so, i like this.

but i'm disappointed.

you misrepresent yourself.

i do not detect any adverbs among this bunch of words. :)

but you capture loneliness *gracefully*
