I Quit, Poetry!!!

I Quit, Poetry!!!

A Poem by Ketki Borgaonkar
"

this was when I had decided to stop expressing myself in the form of such rhymes. but, I coudn't. and Im happy about that.

"

A tale of a Cursed Angel :

He (God) sent me to you

when you sat all alone.

Thinking of her changing smile

killing your heart, you changed yourself to a fractious tone.

Your moist eyes connected to my eyes in pain

forgetting your story, you patiently heard my tale.

for healing me you focused-in all your heart and soul just to regain

all my joys; turned them from mortal to immortal,to which even He had failed.

you were the Lord of my Happiness

I owed you my smile.

Beautiful looked your cheerful twinkling eyes

when I saw my Lord mesmerized

in his own gifted smile & his heart turned alive.

My Lord said, "your smile is magical.

it breezed off all my tears & sorrows."

You said, "your laugh is funny,

but, so infectious to spread it to infinite rows"

I opened my mouth but

just air of sigh

no words could come out

to perfectly describe my insight and make a reply

So blessed I felt to hear it from you

I thanked Him for choosing me as your 'angel of sorrow'

With all mind and heart I prayed to Him

to bless me once more and make me your shadow.

You soon became a part of all my prayers

to keep you showered with all good.

I just asked one thing for myself and it was,

"...aaa... I need not say it. Its so very understood."

Every night was beautifully starlit

and the mornings bright and glee

But one night as such, in our life it just didn't fit

darkest of all it just didn't allow the sun to rise back.

"your's is the smile I still fear of,

and i have this fear all along."

I was dumbstruck and clueless hearing this

"with a tear in your eye, you would still sing that song"

I stood stand still, and so was my world

my smile flew away losing its way back

i do not know where it wonders like a restless bird

and tears permanently fixed its vacant place

But with no regrets,

im happy that my smile did its task well

for it dried its master's tears

and then vanished without any funeral bell.

-Ketz.
