As Reality Does

As Reality Does

A Poem by Michael K. Evans

World of word, All too cliche
Nothing new again this day
Same old mundane; worn out themes
Of places, less of dreams

Love and death are done
Well beyond serendipity and melancholy means
Please, give me the common man
And his daily fight
Struggles and plans for future life

Although, fantasy does excite
Over the weakest souls runs
It merely never truly inspires truth
As much as reality does

Great reality check. :)
I think people get caught up in fantasy way too often and it can be damaging.
Dreaming is good but it's important to know what's realistic.
