Askhole

Askhole

A Poem by KevinKevz
"

There is a point in our lives that we ask a lot of stupid questions. And you know what's funny?, We still asked those questions even we already know the answer.

"
Why did you leave me here to wait and fade?
Am I just a foolish game you have played?
What will I do now you're completely gone?
Are you happy? and Are you having fun?

Whose heart keeps breaking? Is it yours or mine?
Do you have to take away all my shine?
Whom should I talk to about my regrets?
Would you like to know my dirty secrets?

Where can I hide my pain and loneliness?
When is the right time to run from this mess?
Which of my dreams you ruined should I aim?
How are you feeling? Are you still the same?

Isn't it lovely to see me hurting?
Could you at least tell me to stop crying?
Who do you think will crumble tomorrow?
And did you ever love me? Yes or No?

What I love about this poem -- the sarcastic questioning . . . really gets across ATTITUDE, like first line of last verse. I'm a fanatic about rhyming & sometimes your rhyming feels simplistic, like you pick a word to rhyme, then try to fashion the line to fit the rhyme, but I feel the message should come first, not the rhyme. As you practice rhyming more & more, reading your rhymes will feel more organic, not like you're TRYING to rhyme. All in all, your message is stated with a powerful push of emotion (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
