The Milennials

The Milennials

A Poem by KhemiJegna

You prostrate yourselves before your desires
and break the veil between you and your reflection
domestication and reputation
legislation and temptation
Evictions and natural selection
From the sound to a quarrel mind
To quiet the voice forever is to die
you're hip, you're the milennials with emojis in your heart
Those Gods..
Major and Minor
drowned in the troubles
you've poured in a cup that runneth over the
surely the goodness and the mercy that would have followed thee
for all thy days and thy nights

swayed you are in the wind whenever they please
oh hue-man have you no say?
Microwave society
will have you decay
hurried to the grave

Muzzle is the concrete for the jungle
