I Swear, Little Raven

Walking through unknown doors
Gazing through each moment.
Murmuring echoed on all corridors
And my mind is filled with an undying argument.

Lonely in each step of the way.
Thinking "what should I do?"
Gets darker and darker each passing day
But then along came you.

I thought I was already down and depressed
Yet my cries you contained.
My fears and doubts, you supressed
And my trust and love, you obtained.

You told me who you were
And I told you who I was and can be.
You promised that you'll always be there
And I swore that, for you, I'll always be me.

My little raven has been through the dark as I have,
Different as it seems, yet so the same inside.
My darling boy, someday you'll be free as a dove
And you'll journey further in the world, outside.

I know now, what loneliness is,
It's like walking through the dark with no light,
Like waiting for that someone that you miss,
And somehow crying silently at night.

Distance may be against us
