Silver-Tongue

Silver-Tongue

A Poem by Ki Rider

Oh Silver-Tongue......
Yeah that's me.
You don't know it.
But I'm quite crafty.

Words have always come easy.
In fact emotions are there to manipulate.
A fantastical banquet of words, I can conjure.
Till I have you eating off my plate.

You have no idea what I'm thinking.
But you can't resist.
My words pull you in.
And you begin to twist.

I pull heart-strings,
I pull minds.
I can make you lost,
Or make you mine.

It's easy for me to start.
And its easy for you to fall.
You find it hard to part,
But I don't care for anything at all.

I sold my soul to devil.
And I cut my heart out.
All that's left is emptiness,
And a desire to start fires of destruction.

Though now I must say that this darkness isn't always there.
No I don't always mean to hurt others,
But in despair, that beast gets free.
I promise you I try to lock it away, so it can smother.

But if it does come free.
Please take your hand,
and smack me!
Before it's too late, so I can't stand.

Oh Silver-Tongue....that's me.
Please be warned I'm crafty.
Words and emotions, I make be.
To steal your hearts and sway your minds till you are tipsy.

I loved this.
As sad as it is. . . but the title made me curious as it reminded me of the character Mo from the book series Inkheart
