tunnel

tunnel

A Poem by Kidasharranah

i came through the rain

echos form the walls  announce my arrival

the water i had collected from outside

now dripped on the concrete floor.

my bare feet freezing
as i stand in the puddle of my creation.

and then i began to twirl.

my hair unstuck itself form my neck,

spiraling out

slapping my face like a whip,

wrapping around my neck like a choker.

the water on my body drifting into the air

in a spiral

 for a moment

before falling to the floor

my feet not slipping

on the puddle that's growing minute by minute

the sound of my feet sounding off the walls.

the splashing of water

making a chorus

in this tomb with endings on both sides

my clothes stick to me

my second skin...

In this tunnel,

no one sees me

twirling.

Twirling
just for the feeling of it

This tunnel....
what can i say?
