Colors of Fate

I had a dream through the passage of time

Over and through the twists and turns

The brambles reached with greedy fingers

Tearing at fabric and skin

Pulling back into the depths …

The depths of a memory that holds and enslaves

To a time when the colors of fate split and divided

The sound of the cracks drowned by the sounds of injustice

I had a dream of a hooded passing

Slipping through hearts that held strong with faith

But hands of fate released the color of life staining the memories of time

I had a dream once

That the colors of fate blended and arched

Arched over a place that recognized beauty

…the beauty of the colors of fate

Where lives were simply allowed

…allowed to be.
