Jump

A Poem by Michael Deshields
"

All I have to do is jump...

"
Breathe in the autumn air.
Your face wild with sadness and despair.
The sight below is sickly yet sweet.
You remain thinking on your wobbly feet.
Will anyone notice?
Will anyone care?
Will they be able to go on without me there?
A moments hesitation is all it takes.
For you to slip and fall into a dream state.
Now that the time has flew by and it is getting late.
You decide that when the sun finally sets you decide your fate.
Times up there is no escape.
You have no more time to waste.
One last breath and you know what is right.
You have chosen to end your life tonight.
As you jump from the highest of heights.
A single tear falls as you whisper good bye.
