October

Waiting for the winter … a reason for me to feel that cold
Waiting I am … for tears washing drops of rain
Waiting I am… for a cold breeze for physical pain
Waiting for the winter … waiting for words that are still untold

Waiting I used to be and wait I will till the last breath I hold
Waiting I am … alone once again
Waiting I am … for a cigarette under the rain
Waiting for the winter … for a silence walk in an empty road

And came October and winter is still late
I miss those clouds hiding sky and sunshine
Why am I waiting how long can I wait

Still it is October the month of mourn and hate
I miss standing outdoors when rain falls in my wine
I lost the hope of summer and my believe of fate

You create striking lines that evoke feelings of desolation and loneliness, long associated with the season of autumn. Nice job with word painting, you create a masterful painting of depression...

A rather sad and somber poem. It seems as if October has the chance of helping to justify the painful feelings or at least help explain them perhaps. There is hope in October because I think it represents or reflects the painful feelings expressed here. Anyway, fantastic poem here!

@Aline it's when despair overtakes one needs a physical pain to distract from emotional one, an excuse to feel sad about the unexplained blues we get sometimes.

I don't know, but I see winter here as an emotion, the main emotion: Loneliness combined with frustration maybe, melancholy and distress. Summer would be as the loss of happiness. Correct me if i missunderstood please! but this is what i got. And i like it very much. Very touching =)

There are no words adequate to describe the beauty of Your poem..the use of the word Waiting over and over emphasizes the theme...We all wait for something...
You have a God-given talent

I have become very lucky in the cold months. Most of my new lovers were found in September and the cold days of winter made us hold tighter. October can bring the death to the green earth for a time. The cold days should bring more time for talk and dreams. I like the feel of this poem. Waiting make us more hungry and desperate. I believe better to be content and hope all things will fall right. A excellent poem.

. ah, amazing ...

a little splash of autumn
a biting splinter of winter
and the lingering wait
for spring's golden gate
