Melancholous night

Melancholous night

A Poem by M.Kilani

Let there be no tears tonight

Yet tonight I can feel you cry

I sense it in darkness in light

And somehow I wish to die

In the silence I can hear you weep

I can taste that salty tear

And tonight I won’t sleep

Till I drawn away your fear

Tonight; Let there be no sadness

Yet melancholy I can feel in the air

And for that let there be no madness

Nor dreams, for you’re not there

Tonight; let there be no light

Only the amber of my smoke

For I can sense it’s not right

For you won’t even talk

There you lay out of sight

As I dwell in rage and fear

A war in my mind I fight

As I wish you were here

As I call this night an ominous

For I know that you are feeling sad

And so shall I be; melancholous

I like this poem. It is beautiful. Nothing as painful as knowing someone is sad because of the deeds done by you. A amazing poem. I could feel the sadness and disappointment. Thank you.

It is hard to deal with sadness in other, but hopefully getting it on paper helps. The write is great. I love the repeat line, they add to the feel.
