Day of Birth

Today might not be as special as you think

But I know for me it is

For another journey has ended

And yet another one to come

 

I know it’s a long journey

And the fight was hard

Yet you managed to survive

This long and weary journey

 

Now another journey has ended

And another chapter that has been closed

Yet another journey to start

And another chapter to write

 

With this poem I glorify

Your success to survive

A long and weary journey

And your strength to start a new one

 

And with this pen I write

My prayers for you

That you may survive this journey

And write wisely your new chapter
