Forget Me Knot

Forget Me Knot

A Poem by annalysiar
"

A woman lives up to the quote: "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

"
Look into my eyes
Am I not beautiful?
Do you not love me...
Tell me-
Where did all of it go?
The blinding passion..
Smoldering desire
Was it just for a night ?
While I was in your lair?
Tell me love...
Do you love me not...
Or have you cast me aside
As another Forget me knot
You make me wonder-
Love-Can it be true?
This knife. Can it bind me to you?
Such a crazy thought...
Is that why I was an easy toss?
Look into my eyes...
Am I not beautiful?
Do you not love me?
Tell me-
And the truth shall set you free.
Love. My dearest love.
Can love be taken?
With a blinding thrust from above?
Now do you remember?
My tearful blue eyes
Ear piercing cries.
Tell me tell me.
I long to know...
about the god awful night
That broke my soul
Ah yes my little black dress..
Eye catching heels
The lengths we go
for a mans "appeal"
No. No... Don't look away...
Love, darling this is for you
Tell me you'll stay
that I'm yours
Tell me you want me
That you love me this way
You know you're not leaving
Forget me Knot
This light of day...

I love the word choice and the flow. I also love the message. It especially love the way you tell a story of someone who was forgotten. Like when you say "Was it just for a night?" and "Or have you cast me aside like another forget me knot." Makes you think. Love this!

Was my pleasure and you are welcome.
I have not had a one night stand, but the sadness and the words "Where did all of it go?
The blinding passion.. Smoldering desire" I can relate to. I have been with my boyfriend for two and a half years and I am lucky if I can even get him to hug me or kiss me when I get home from work anymore. I am sorry that this happened to you, one night stands are never happy for everyone. Your sorrow and passion was flowing through this and I felt it. Thank you for sharing.

the knot that binds, the not that unbinds.

for some, commitment is like a rose with all thorns and no flower.

I don't think you will ever forget that night. When one thinks it's a one night stand and one has other ideas. Like the build up in this piece. Great write.
