Magnetic Feel

Magnetic Feel

A Poem by Kimberlee
"

Just something

"

Her breath smells like cloves & mint.

Her breath smells like sewage & tobacco.

Her hair curls and shines in the light.

Her hair, dull & frizzy, lays greasily matted.

Her eyes glide bright, earthy brown disks.

Her eyes, shattered darkness, like fly infested s**t.

Her lips bowed and painted.

Her lips cracked and bloody.

Her hands soft and gracious.

Her hands careless and clumsy.

Laughing!

Crying

Happy!

Angry

Loving!

Hating

Her words soft and gently spoken.

Her words harsh and manically sped.

My mother,

She always knew how,

To leave a child heart-broken.
