Jack Handey

A Poem by KindaCursed

deep thoughts

cold and sapphire blue

an ocean eddying around

small fragile selves

trusting unseen forces

to keep heads above water

waves crashing over

in a salty assault on breath

struggling, kicking, fighting

under the weight

of oppressive seawater

bitter and violent

we learn to breathe

in spite of all of it

but drinking too deeply

from this wisdom

brings only death
