Like the red sea in BC

And delivered you on this world

No in my life

Your wings are not visible

But it doesn’t hide what you are

You angel of my heart

You vixen of my demise

Taunting with your beauty

Telling me to play your game

Opening the door

For me to walk in and take you

Only to get rejected with a door slam

Like a stiletto through the heart

Taunting at me to keep on trying

 

To knock on your door but not have it answered

To look at you but not be looked back

To call out your name to fall on deaf ears

To reach out and grab nothing but air

You seem to be there

But always out of reach
