As a coffee-plus drinker i so love your thinking! As to the way you've briefly but fully worded your poem, coffee takes on a near-nectar like meaning now - says I, sip-sipping my first cuppa of the day. Thank you so much..

Of course. I think coffee is something simple that everyone can take joy in. Thanks for sharing

I love coffee. This is perfect. But maybe draught instead of draft? Good job - smart and concise.

We share the same sense of humour... which reminds me, am due for a.... coffee! :)
Sounds as if this is an outdoor activity, perhaps on the way to work or study? Nicely portrayed. The first four lines focussing on the coffee effect and the last three setting the scene.

But it's really whatever you want to take from it with your own coffee experience. It's meant to evoke nostalgic feelings and memories associated with the beverage. Thank you for the kind words.
Did esophagus come to mind naturally or did you SEARCH your mind for more of a word to use - just asking...

This is clever with neat wording. The daily ritual of switching gears with our favorite caffeinated beverage. I enjoyed your wit and unique perspective. A pleasure to read.

This poem gave me a different look on coffee, not a coffee fan but this read made appreciate it more.
