Monster Makers

We create our monsters
We are the makers
There is no one else to blame
For our mistakes
We can continue denying
Let the world break some more
Or we can acknowledge the pain we have caused
Acknowledge our world is divided
Acknowledge that fixing this world will be difficult
But not impossible

Stop hiding in the shadows pretending we are not enabling the wrong
Let our words fly free
And circle around the minds of those who have done wrong
Let it eat away at them
Let it chip away
Let them be filled with remorse
So they teach their children better
Better than they were taught
