Destroyed

Destroyed

A Poem by TheNightShift

Your bricks crack like broken teeth-
shards of glass become your wreath.

Streetlights are snapped like broken bones,
A city-block now a heap of stones.

In your tunnels thousands cower,
from death's fast approaching hour.

Millions of people in an instant dust,
and all man made no more than rust.

A future holocaust with devastating consequences. A dark write and scary.

Definitely gives a harrowing sense of sorrow. Very well done I would say. It has a clear, coherent theme and executes it solidly. I especially love the last two lines. I'll be sure to check out some of your other work.
