Picking Flowers

The death of someone close to you is possibly one of the worst things that could happen to anyone. Unlike being anxious about something that's happening or will happen, the death of someone brings on a wave of different emotions that cast out the good things in life, there are no if's and's or but's. That person is gone and that is what tears you apart.

When tragedies like this happen people often say you should look on the bright side of life. But where do you look when the bright side has been destroyed and taken over by darkness ?

People often say that God has gained another angel, but in a world like this it's the angels that we need the most, to bring out the beauty in such a bleak, dark and ugly world.

Why is it that the best and most beautiful people die ? When you go to your garden to pick flowers which ones do you choose ? Exactly.

You choose the best and most beautiful ones there. Life is like picking flowers.

would be neat to see this expanded, it feels unfinished and im not sure what you want the reader to be leaving the story with. id advise seeing what you can flesh out a bit.
i think it a great start and nicely progressed, it may work better in a poetic format though as it feels more like poetry than prose. play with both and see how you feel with each :)
