Our Brightest Light (Restored)

Our Brightest Light (Restored)

A Poem by Amanda Crandall
"

I wanted to get these reviews up for Luna's viewing pleasure.

"

The man of a thousand voices
Each sings a different tune
Each note precious and unique
No word casually strewn

You have given life to shadows
And in all of us, so much more
Cowboys, Knights, Angels, and Goddesses
Despite the tainted self reflections
we seem to adore

You have shown us your tribulations
With such beautiful, modest grace
Each visit to your realm teaches us more
That there are places in the stars
where we can take our place

You have never breached your character
Or stabbed the cat to save the dove
You taught me to trust the flow of my pen
And what God meant when he said
to your neighbor give your love

You have given me the courage
To leave the past behind
Robert, your words are the salve
To ease my troubled mind

Wow MMM. I am at a lost for words and you know that never happens. LOL First of all THANK YOU. I am completely flattered by this, this beautiful piece of art. You are such an amazing writer and inspiration to me continuously. I have never had anyone ever write anything about me. I am truly humbled by the words you say about me. To know I made an effect on someone is the greatest gift that I could ever receive. Thank you for your friendship and wonderful words of praise.

I have no idea who Robert is, but he must be a truly fantastic person to deserve such a great poem.

...although, who on earth would stab a cat to save a dove?

You truly captured Robert in this poem and did him justice. He's a wonderful guy and I feel you reflected this in your writing. Great job, my dear.

You taught me to trust the flow of my pen...... That can be a difficult thing to overcome,
anyone who teaches such is a great friend to have..

Wow . . . what a great tribute to someone who I also consider a great writer. The sybolism that you use to describe what you consider his characteristics are fascinating. . . .

"You have never breached your character
Or stabbed the cat to save the dove"

Just one example of a great poem. Great flow and pictures. He has inspired you well!

What a lovely tribute. These poems to one of the other mentors on the site are always so inspiring. :) Robert is indeed a treasure, and so are you, Amanda, as many others have said. :)

Oh, Amanda ... I can add nothing to all the others have said. Wonderful, touching tribute to our dear friend Robert ... and so well deserved, because to me, too, he is a very good friend. xxx

Robert seems like some kind of savior. His work sounds to be inclusive of the theory of mankind as comprised of unique individuals, eternally separate. Is that all there is?
