Chapter 4: Birth Certificate

    Sanctum sounds silent, like every other night and most nights Ghost would fall asleep but his mind is cluttered with questions thoughts. They fight his need for sleep and at the moment are winning, sitting up Ghost swings his feet over the edge of the bed until they connect with the cold floor. The feeling runs up his spine causing him to shiver, finding himself at his desk Ghost opens up the drawer and takes out a devise he has been working on. He tinkers with his modifying some problems until his eyelids start to get heavy.
    "What is that?" Nolan's voice startles Ghost causing him to drop the devise onto the table. Rubbing his eyes Ghost gets up from the chair bringing the devise with him, He moves it in his hand making sure nothing was loose.
    "I don't exactly know what it is yet." That was his honest answer he had been working on the devise for a couple of weeks. It started with an idea but had gotten away from that now Ghost didn't know what he was making, only that he needed to finish it. This caused Nolan to chuckle and walk completely into the room with the door closing behind him.
    "Why are you not asleep, we have a lot to do tomorrow." Ghost looked at Nolan who just walked around the room.
"Stop being such a hard a*s, it's not a good look for you." His fingers move around the smooth surface of the shelf holding up books that Ghost enjoyed reading. Nolan's finger touch the edge of one of the books and pulls it out. "The Catcher In The Rye" by J. D. Salinger he opens the book reading little parts of it. "The main character Holden Caulfield, your a little bit like him." He stops and remembers completely what the main character is like. "There has to be a compliment in there somewhere." Nolan smiles as he puts the book back. Ghost laughs at the strange comparison, then sees that Nolan is troubles by something.
    "Whats wrong?" He leans against the desk while opening the drawer and placing the devise away.
    "I did some research, I went through firewalls and into government documents." Nolan looks at Ghost who seems a bit eager to get on with the conversation. "I found something, it was under multiple locks protected by more than twenty different types of firewalls."
    "Go on." Ghost wanted to hear the information that Nolan had obtained.
    "Emily's birth certificate is fake, I'm not just saying the one we have on record here is fake. Every birth certificate that Emily has ever had has been fake, she shouldn't exist." Nolan stops for a second to catch his breath. "It's strange, ever since that ship crashed to earth in 2012 and the Kausim have joined Earth, every birth has been documented to keep population regulated." He sits down on the side of Ghosts bed and takes a deep breath. "She has to be the only person the Kausim don't know about, either that or she was born before 2012 and that would mean she is at least on hundred years old."
    "The invisible girl, that must be something special." Ghost smiles as he sits on his bed next to Nolan patting him on the back. "It's nice to know this information all ready, but go to sleep we both need it." Nolan chuckles while getting up to the door.
    "Good night." Nolan opens the door and walks out into the hallway without waiting for Ghosts response the door closes. Laying in his bed now he looks up at the ceiling until his eyes close and he falls asleep.

i personaly hope she is really old. and what a NICE way to show what time period it is in the future i mean really that was inspired man :) lol i love it. and i really like how you tied in the catcher and the rye. its interesting. anyway i do like nolan. he is awesome. concider me Attached. :) emilys not being as cool as she was last time but is still interesting with this new factoid in the mix :) a anyway i think its going well.this whole birth cirtificate thing is a twist that was needed and i enjoy it. youve sparked my interest. and now i demand more birthday boy! go Go GOOO! :) pleease.
