Still Here

Still Here

A Poem by Kohleen

Standing in a driftless breeze,

Watching every snowflake freeze,

Your stormy eyes come to my mind

And worn out memories is what I find.

Gentle kisses in candle light,

Whispered words in darkened night.

Laughture as the summers spent,

Dying when my time was bent.

Songs did play, robbed in white,

Lying still in a useless fight.

Your eyes shone with a single tear,

But never once did I fear.

You believed that I was gone

When I'd become a spotted fawn,

Living another hope filled life,

Watching snow cut like a knife.

I'm still here, child of mine, in every way,

To watch you grow and watch you play.

Very touching, gentle... couple things distracted... 'laughture' is this poetic license or misspelling? also the Songs did play but were they robed or robbed in white?

Sorry to be picky... I did enjoy reading it.
