Rebelling Against Society

Rebelling Against Society

A Poem by 송지석 / Ji-Suk
"

About my country's educational system

"
Money, power and honor don’t change roles but adults think so
They confine these dreams to us to make good money, trampling on our dreams
Why are they telling me to go on a different path?

We're treated like sheep and our only daily conversation is only about after school studying
Grownups and parents say they had it harder than us, they tell us to try hard
They say we've given up on things and talk bad behind our backs
I’ve got a crow-tit’s legs and adults have a stork’s legs, how can we meet your expectation?
They keep forcing their dreams on us and disown us if we do anything different

basically that is what troubles me sometimes the culture and the practices which we are being obliged to follow to the core either that or be treated as outcast or even ostracized by the society itself.
