A Poem by Kris Jansen

I am falling into a dream.
A dream of which I don't want out of.
But what is a dream when you wake up into a nightmare?
What does a dream do, when it's never coming true?

My heavy eyelids tear away with all my sins.
Forced to see the pain from within, all the agony that lies beneath my skin.
I'm reaching out to you, but all I feel is the cold.
All I feel is bone.
All I feel is Death stabbing my heart and carving into my lonely tombstone.

What do I do? Where do I go?
Let me be close with someone other than my shadow..

And even he doesn't look me in the eyes.
