Hangover

Hangover

A Poem by Kristen Mae
"

This is NOT a personal experience, just was stuck in my head

"

She'll kiss him goodbye

as she heads away

to the party

that couldn't be put off another day.

He heads to work

as his mind is harmed

of a fear of his girl

in another man's arms.

The music

the lights

the dancing

the fights

She shakes her hips

as another observes

her silent seduction

and her sensuous curves.

He moves himself towards

the lovely, enchanting girl

in a hope of her being

the one with he'd score.

They sat on the couch

lips entangled together

as she whispered gently

"I'm with another".

She'd had too much to drink

and she new she couldn't stop

as her feet wandered

upstairs into the dark.

She knew she said no

but it couln't be helped

with no force to stop him

she gave in to his touch.

As she awoke the next morning

she jumped from the sheets

in a fright of what she saw,

herself nude underneath.

She ran to get dressed

before the other would awake

she didn't remember what happened

and that's the way it would stay.

She went home

to find her boyfriend asleep

cuddling into his arms

a secret she must keep.

He kissed her lips,

"was the party like no other?"

All she could say,

"it was fine, but I'm a bit hungover."

Kristen Mae
I'm iffy on the last stanza... I don't really like it.
