When opportunity knocks

To jump forward or to stay

To freeze in place or to sway?

They say the time will pass me by either way

So why put off my life, when I'm free today?

 

I'm ready for some spice

A kick, a jerk, a place to dive

I need some adventure, but do I dare?

It'd be nice to have a reminder that I'm alive

 

I'm in a comfortable nook

I'm scared to loose my place

Opportunity is passing by

I'd like to join in the race

 

Such a gamble!

But what do I really have to lose?

Life stops for no one

No matter which path I choose

 

So simply put

But this is my life I'm talking about!

I have to make a move

No time to sit and pout

 

I suppose I shall bet my a*s

It's just getting fatter in this chair anyway

Time for a life adjustment

It'll all be a memory by the end of my last day

Life is for living and moving. Nothing was ever gained by being a couch potato. It is the movers and shakers that rule the world. I'm in wholehearted agreement with you. We have only one life so why waste it being sedentary when there is so much by way of adventure out there.
