To my love, in Virginia

To my love, in Virginia

A Poem by Latsyrk llorrac
"

I decided to write a poem in the style of a civil war love letter, heres what I have.. There are some typos and errors I will edit it soon

"
Dearest Tristan
How art thou fareing there mine  love?
Do thou'st breathe for me.
When the sun doth rise and the rain doth flow, I truly think of thee.
Forever apart I write thee again to  say mine final words.
I hath not heard from thee in ages.. it really is absurd..

If thee art not alright mine love.. please don't hesitate to show..
some kind of sign some god-like dream I have but right to know.
My blue eyed love.. please don't be rash I swear I've paid my dues.
If there hast be one man for me, Thee I would choose.
Art thou ill? Or Melancholy, or Cross?

Or mad?
I swear my love my sweet my Solider, the only man I've had..
To dream to Dream! Of thee again in my arms and mind.
The feeling of thine flesh and smell of thine breast.. I could get lost  in time
This is the last letter I'll write to thee, Tristan mine love mine sweet..
If thee shall not return mine scroll.
Soon then we shalt meet..
Together again in Love! in Laughter just like it ought have been..
I haven't been happy with thee away.. since.. God knows when.
I almost forgot! in mine hurried  scrawling and fluster of missing thee..
I am with child.. a boy I think.. Please come home to me
To not know his father.. thine son.. Shall be.. as empty as a drum.
I would tell thee more, sweet love..but I fear I'm feeling rather numb.
The reality of thee not here with me, not near not close to thee.
Inspires such hate and fear in mine heart..Dear god.. Blasphomy..
Please write me back... Please do.. Mother says I'm close to term.
I need thee here to teach thine boy.. how will he ever learn?
I've heard things about this war that would turn a lesser woman Ill
I still pray I still love. forever and ever.. still..
Tristan mine dahling.. I'm afraid I have to let thee be
but just remember no matter, how this goes on.. Virginia cannot have thee
