Memories

Memories

A Poem by Wolf
"

A song for all of us! A song about remembrance of childhood...

"

In this old chair

I always remember,

Smellin' the clean air

And admirin' my loyal bear,

Of my younger days,

Playin' near the local bays,

With my good friends,

When we had nothin' in our minds.

Twenty years have passed

Since we were blamed

For the broken window

From the house of the old widow.

Chorus: Ohhh! Sweet memories!

Do we still share the same memories?

My dear childhood,

With me...you were too good!

I shall always remember you,

In every moment I do!

We were so young...

When we stayed among

The soldiers in the crowd,

Where nothing was too loud!

We meet at the local bar,

Where we watched the North Star.

We sit down at the Round Table,

Talkin' about Ken's stable.

Twenty-five years have passed,

Since our dog got lost,

When we took him for a walk

Just around the block.

Chorus: Ohhh! Sweet memories!

Do we still share the same memories?

My dear childhood,

With me...you were too good!

I shall always remember you,

In every moment I do!

We went over the old bridge,

That's a mile away from the canyon ridge,

Where we stayed all day long...

Never going where we belong.

Hours and hours we left there,

While we stayed and stare

All night long

At the stars and beyond.

Ten years have passed

When I first started

To build my house,

After I left with my mouse.

Chorus: Ohhh! Sweet memories!

Do we still share the same memories?

My dear childhood,

With me...you were too good!

I shall always remember you,

In every moment I do!

Remember the old crane,

Which was passed by the train?

Every time when we had a picnic

The noise made us sick!

We ran to the station,

You thought that we were in slow-motion...

Seeing the train comin'...

We started a racin'!

One year passed

When my friends visited

My sweet home,

Where I never live alone.

Chorus: Ohhh! Sweet memories!

Do we still share the same memories?

My dear childhood,

With me...you were too good!

I shall always remember you,

In every moment I do!

One table with a jar of whiskey...

We drank it while you said "Bay!"

We were drunk and happy...

So let's start the party!

We just broke the window...

Rememberin' about the old widow...

A lot of noise we made in the house,

That we scared the lill' mouse!

Chorus: Ohhh! Sweet memories!

Do we still share the same memories?

My dear childhood,

With me...you were too good!

I shall always remember you,

In every moment I do!

The translation of the lyrics will be posted under the video. The band is called Trooper and it's a heavy metal band from Romania.

Trooper-Memories

I stay alone sometimes,
I hide to be with you
I watch an old photo
A memory is rising!
The pain is too great,
And the years just too many!
Tears fall from the sky
You forget...
In every face you are!
I watch and then I give up...
I run alone in the night
To be with you again,
And the moon watches me,
Hidden behind the mountains!
Again I dream of you,
You forget!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul just looks!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul just looks!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul just looks!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul...
And I was holding you tight,
I knew it was over...
You also told me in tears...
That in your soul I hurt you...
One time in life maybe
You'll want to kiss again
The same man that
For a long time you want to forget!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul just looks!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul just looks!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul just looks!
Memories, memories!
They draw in the soul...
And this is how we will be, until we die
Good friends, for life!
And this is how we will be, until we die
Good friends, for life!
And this is how we will be, until we die
Good friends, for life!

If you truly had a childhood this happy, then count yourself lucky--you're one of the very few. My childhood was a nightmare, and I wouldn't go back if you paid me to go back. I don't even like remembering it--my old memories of youth are far better off dead and forgotten
