The one i dreamed about

The one i dreamed about

A Poem by Kwiksie Ifediora
"

Dreams become Reality

"
The one i saw when i watched daddy,
as a little girl, gently hold mummy.
Who even at times when there was more stress than money
would save a warm smile for his little baby.

The one i sought as i grew older
as i piled cliched romantic phrases and made my heart their folder;
with a million 'right' faces and the same hazardous interior
i couldn't help wondering if the draft at my side was the future.

The one i let my society impersonate
with presentations endless of love akin to hate.
The one i waited for in vain each day
as i gazed into my self designed world of gray.

But here i am, at last enlightened with truth.
With lost footing now stands my doubts;
As witness His love replicated at present and times past
I realise you're the one i've always dreamed about.

I too dreamed about finding a good man like my father. I also found my share of those "with a million 'right' faces and the same hazardous interior..." (GREAT line here). And finally found my soul mate, worth every minute of the dreaming... well penned, Kwiksie!
