Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach

A Poem by Kylie Dunlop-Grigg
"

This is a poem I wrote about my favourite place to go as a child. Wonderful memories.

"

Pounding surf

That sounds like thunder

Waves crashing

Onto the shore

Rocks splashed

By the rolling sea

Shells shining

In the sunlight

Sandcastles being built

Getting higher and higher

People swimming

Having fun

Dogs playing

Chasing sticks and Frisbees

Sandunes towering

Over it's prey

Lifeguards pumped

Ready to go

Mountains soaring

Up to the sky

Sun umbrellas flying

Away with the wind

Carpark beaming

With it's load

Seagulls scrounging

For some of your lunch

Fish waiting

for your hook

I'm waiting

For our next trip
