Dedicated to John Ian DunlopA Poem by Kylie Dunlop-GriggI wrote this 20 years ago (I was 13) when my grandad diedWhat is the meaning of life, And what are we to do? Is it to live then die, Because that is so true. We are on this world, For a very short time. Then we are punished to death, But committed no crime. What did we do, To deserve this sentence? Are we a threat to the world, A burden, a menace? Death is all around us, It is something that we fear. All of sudden it's there, Without a care. We live then die, It is a common fact. But sometimes it's unexpected, And you don't know how to act. What to do, When a loved one dies? It is a very sad moment, And everyone cries. You ask the question, "Why did he go this way" But we will never know that, Because the answer is far away. © 2015 Kylie Dunlop-Grigg |
