Fly

Fly

A Poem by Kaelyn Shea

You tell me i'm your angel
who fell from the sky
the Problem is i don't know
that you'd care if i died

You tell em you love me
the girl that from the sky
i'm scared to tell you
i need your help to fly

to fly away from the pain and
 the stress of the world
but i want you here no
i need you here
your my way to the sky
i need your help to fly

i used to crawl into bed at night
i would dream that someday
you would be mine
for forever and a day

I used to dream that i'd grow wings
and fly away to you
now i know i'll
never be
able to

to fly away from the pain and
 the stress of the world
but i want you here no
i need you here
your my way to the sky
i need your help to fly

This is a really sweet write! The rhythm of the words almost makes it sound like lyrics to a song! If it's not already, then it totally should be. :P
It's always frightening reaching out to someone you love without knowing how they're going to react, and I think that you have described this feeling really well. The metaphor of 'flying' is really creative, and it definitely makes the reader consider what it may be a representation of.
The second to last stanza was my favourite section of the poem, and I was really able to connect with that particular feeling of wanting something so much, yet knowing in your heart that it just can't be. :)
