poem about me

poem about me

A Poem by Laura T.
"

Poem about the person iam

"
I was born in a very delicate state.
The doctor said help for me would be too late.
My mother cried and prayed that I would survive.
After months in the hospital I survived my ordeal.

Years pass and I encounter myself with health conditions.
All kinds of medical obstacles that I get in my way.

Even if life tries to pull me down I set all the negativity at bay.
For in the Lord's hands my faith I lay.

Now years pass and Iam stronger then ever.
Life tried to pull me under but I said never.
What made me strong was my ability to keep fighting.
I fight for what I want and for who iam forevermore.

This is an inspiring piece. Right now I am currently having to face the fact that I am disabled and unable to work. My ego is strongly against this. This heart felt poem spreads motive to keep on going in any and every situation. I believe you hit the nail on the head with the expression of trudging forward no matter what stands in your way. A few things I noticed:

All kinds of medical obstacles that I get in my way. (All kinds of medical obstacles that get in my way)

I fight for what I want and for who iam forevermore. (I for what I want and for who I am forevermore.)

Thank you for sharing and please return the favor by reviewing one of my pieces.
