Streaks to Remember You

Streaks to Remember You

A Poem by Brandon Langley

I sit here, thinking of you,
staring at my phone,
Enamored by my stupidity.

How could someone like you ever have feelings for me?
Someone as beautiful, and smart, and funny, and perfect?
Ever love someone like me?

As I sit here, thinking of you,
Staring at my phone,
I shed a tear, thinking of your hair.

Your perfect blond hair,
Those streaks of brown.
Thinking of those,

I look at the paper in front of me,
Grabbing the pen by my side,
And I plunge it onto the paper.

Drawing those perfect streaks,
Because I love them,
Because I love you.
