Mr. Grey

Mr. Grey

A Poem by Brandon Langley
"

RIP Trooper, December 2005-October 4th 2014

"
Through the fish-eyed lens of tear-stained eyes,
I can remember all of my own lies,
And that grey bandanna you wore when we got you from that home,
But now, I've gotten the call on the phone.

I can remember cuddling on the couch,
And sitting at the window in a slouch,
But nearly a year ago,
I felt the same, and now I know.

It wasn't all in vain,
Because, if nothing else but pain,
You at least made one little boy smile,
For a while.

Yeah, I took the first line from Pink Floyd's the Final Cut: possibly the best line in any song ever
