Look, I need to run

Look, I need to run

A Poem by Leah

Look, I need to run. So listen to every word I say. Before my instincts kick in, Concluding my creativity for the day Insecurities dry up my rhythm Blockages decapitate my mind I'm loosing words behind the breath Of a whisper, speaking of perfection Taunting my sentences and metaphors Dripping over evil criticism and destructive ink Blinding me again of my own ingenuity I need to shout these words, leave no room for a breath Before I burn myself out and fall into numbness again Creativity is a spike, a curse in my mind Murdered by my own thinking I know, I know It's hard to explain but these blockages are returning, Did you listen? ... Look, I need to run.

Author's Note

Leah
Ignore grammar problems, I'm not too strong with that
As you can probably tell, it's about how I personally struggle with writing, as I am almost always struggling with writers block. I wrote it within a few minutes, and know it's not the best piece of poetry, but honestly want opinions on it, as its a very candid reflection on my writing style.
Thank you,
