Hula Skirt

I had nothing to do with the title. A friend chose it. Still, who doesn't love those dancers? :3

It is quite amazing how strange the world can be,
When I meet someone who always bothers me,
Like scratching a rash and that moment of bliss,
Although not quite as pleasant as a wet kiss.

All the world seems steeped in an orthodox pair,
Everyone seems to love the world when it’s fair,
But there comes a moment when something bites,
I mean seriously.
That moment
when you just
want to strangle
that one person.

But whether they be a friend, acquaintance or relative,
We can’t afford to be so god damned negative.
Wake up people, and realise you have more than you need,
That special and strange, bonding and bizarre creed.

I write this now, with a
moral to tell you. Yes, you.
Stop being a negative and
learn to affectionately coo,
Like a pigeon, or that strange
Nice old lady at the bus stop,
Just don’t give a f**k and
Listen for that resounding plop.
As all that s**t you had vanishes,
And sleeps with the fishes.

I really admire your honesty here, and your assertive tone with the reader Luke. It's true, we get so caught up in our twisted emotions, we forget what is important. My only criticism would be that lines such as "I mean seriously", may break your poetic rhythm and also transform it into a sort of journal entry. But that is just my opinion! Anyway, some wonderful ideas friend, nice job :)

I loved this!! Ooohaha! I have a friend who's like this. Jesus I love getting on his nerves by being so happy, but he eventually crack a smile MUAWHAHAHA! Awesome piece! And yes Hula dancers and ze best! I remember taking a class and it was the best fun evah! Well done! :3 I friggin loved it more cause it had awesome rhymes. :3 Nice touch

We'll see :P And sure :3 Oh! I go to the New York Broadway dance center sometimes rarely they'll offer that AND my school had this master class with some ladies coming in to teach us from the University. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!! I was sweating bullets, but still they made us WORK!

I WANTED TO SOOOO BADLY!!! You'd think they let me keep the bowler hat from doing Fosse, but nope -.- Ohmygawd ohmygawd what should I do? Ballet? Pointe ballet? Flamenco? Latin?! Tap? Jazz? ...Broadway? Chicago? Cabaret? Contemporary? THE OPTIONS!!!!!

DEAL! :D And yeah dancers either start at age 2 or 3 :P but you're never too old to be great, Sabra Johnson from So You Think You Can Dance only danced for 5 years and won the show over a Danny Tidwell who was JUST fabulous at ballet! And haha doesn't matter what age you begin at :)

YEAH! *highfives* She is! She won a quarter of a million dollars :P But it's all personality at the end of the day. You can have the best technique, best footwork, best leaps, but you have to deliver, and sell your personality. The best passion ca easily win over everything :3
