I Watch

I Watch

A Poem by Luke Rawlings

Your innocent eyes glisten with the dew
of fresh mirth and reaffirm my grasp
on the fleeting glimpse of hope that
arises every time I see the creases
of your face. The persistent aura of
your essence absorbs my shallow infatuation yet
bends my warped moral compass into an
overbearing witness. Can pleasure sustain us or
will it lead to our ultimate demise?

Short and simple but very sweet and as i said beautiful :)
I love the way you wrote this out :)
Did you just make this up? or does it go out to someone special?
