Armageddon

Armageddon

A Poem by Luke Rawlings

The divine hammer smashes
into the stoic armour
of the arrogant subject.

The subject continues to mutter..to blaspheme..to execrate..

The divine hammer strikes
the ground with the threat
of the wrath of the sky.

But it comes not from the sky; lo,
It consumes up from the ground,

The true deciever beneath.

The armour discarded,
A horn buried in the back,

Yet the blood that is spilled..falls from above..
The divine hammer; a weeping child.
